Nov 15, 2013  In many network configurations, you will need to know the MAC address of our console. Follow these steps through the XMB on the PS4 to find this value. On the XMB, arrow up to the very top until we see the XMB Menus. Scroll over to the right to Settings. Go down to Network. Then down to View Connection Status. The beauty of Joystick mapper is that you can set up different profiles for your controllers and also for different games. This means any game you want to play on your Mac will be DS4 compatible, as long as you take the time to set them up. A companion app, Joystick Show is available to allow you to test your controller (see video below). . Your PS4 should now have a static IP address. If you are having problems, make sure that you have entered in the correct information. To double check your numbers, from the main menu of your PS4, select Settings, Network, View Connection Status.

My PS4 has recently been stolen and, while I'm aware I'm not going to be able get it back, I'm very motivated to give a hard time to the person who stole it.

I read in another post where its suggested getting the MAC address for the given device and reporting that to the local authorities as well as passing it on to Sony so they can 'block' the console if it eventually connects to PSN ever again.I connected to my router as an attempt for retrieving the MAC address in question but the router apparently doesn't keep any history of inactive previously connected devices. The router make/model is ARRIS NVG599 (software version 9.1.6h1d25). Any clues if it is possible to retrieve the MAC out of this router?

If not, I'm scrambling around thinking of other ways which I could get that MAC address. I have connected my bluetooth headset with the console several times and another possibility that I thought is if there a way I could maybe connect via my computer to this Sony Headset and somehow retrieve a list/history of connected devices where potentially the PS4 and its MAC address could be retrieved. Has anyone done this on any given scenario even with different devices? I know this might be very unlikely but just wanted to ask you experts anyway.

Feel free to chime in if you happen to read this and have any ideas. Anything helps.

I am sorry Rick if you dont have the mac address you wont be able to discover it remotely, and MAC addresses aren't used on the internet, they are a physical network address, so they aren't ever sent past the router... you probably would have better luck looking on the box that it came with for a Serial Number or contacting sony, or the playstation network... you should be able to get it blackballed, I would assume... at least that is the case with xbox's.

Hey everyone, so I was robbed on thursday night, called the cops, no I don't have renters insurance and about $2500 worth of things were taken, I already went to my local pawn shops but I plan on calling the ones out of town later today.
I had a Sony smart TV and a PS4 that were both connected to the internet prior to the theft, I logged into my router to find the MAC address of previously connected devices however I am only seeing my laptop (which was not here when they broke in thank god), my phone on there twice, laptop is 3 times, and my samsung tablet (which also didn't get taken).
On my router this is the following list of MAC addresses:

OptimusPrime, is the laptop again after I got it back from bestbuy replacing my hardrive.
I googled all the mac addresses on here to find out what company they belonged to and my phone from One Plus One is on the list twice. My router did lose power for a few minutes, Idk if that would affect the MAC list of previously connected devices, I don't see as how it would because my laptop wired connection is on the list and that was connected over a month ago. My wifi is locked and secure so they couldn't have logged into my wifi.

Does my ISP keep a log of my MAC addresses connected to my service? If so I should be able to contact them to get the MAC address for my PS4 and Smart TV correct?
